What is PRP injection?

Hair PRP Treatment:

Hair PRP, also known as PRP for hair loss, is a non-surgical procedure that aims to stimulate hair growth and improve the thickness and quality of hair. Typical timeline for recovery after PRP injection:

• 1-2 days after, any soreness, swelling, or redness improves. The injection site can be tender but the discomfort is usually mild. Take over-the-counter pain medication as needed.
• 3-5 days after: Most swelling subsides. The treated area may feel tight or stiff. Some mild bruising may remain. Gentle movement and light activity can help recovery.
• 1 week after the procedure, there should be minimal residual swelling, bruising, or tenderness. Normal use of the treated area can be resumed but avoid over-exertion.
• 2 weeks after the injection site should be back to baseline with no side effects. Can return to full physical activity and use the area as normal.
• 4+ weeks after Repeat PRP injections may be scheduled around this time for certain conditions or to boost results. Improvement may be gradual over several weeks.
• 3-6 months: Maximal improvements are typically seen around this time period after a complete PRP treatment course. Periodical maintenance may be recommended.
