Genetic testing (PGT and PGS) in Iran
In Iran, infertility treatment centers use a new method called preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), which is also called preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), to find genetic problems in embryos before moving them to the mother’s uterus. - Couples who have lost more than one baby in the past
- Couples who have failed IVF more than once
- Men can cause serious cases of infertility.
2PGT-M (Monogenic/Single Gene illnesses), looks for genetic changes that can lead to inherited illnesses. This form is used for couples who carry autosomal recessive diseases.
- People who have autosomal dominant disorders.
- Families with diseases that are linked to X.
3You can use the PGT-SR (Structural Rearrangements) type to find chromosome structural problems like translocations or inversions. Couples where one partner has a known genetic structural rearrangement should get it.
