I can recommend Shoheila from Health agency Iran to everyone. Please don't be put off by the media that Iran is a dangerous country. Because it's not!! I recommend that all future clients of the Iran Health agency ask for Soheila because she is simply the best. Not only does she take all the time to answer your questions before you leave, but she comes to pick you up at the airport, takes you to restaurants, goes shopping with you. Because I was more comfortable being taken care of in my own room, Soheila arranged this for me, so a super friendly nurse came to take care of me every morning in my room at the hotel. Soheila stayed by my side in the hospital and also took me to my room, after discharge. She also helps with your choices of hotels and relaxation. Once home, she sends regular messages to ask how I am doing. Do not hesitate, choose Soheila at Iran Health clinic.

And overall she took care of me after surgery and made sure I had all the medication I needed she even took me around tehran when I was feeling better (for free as a friend?!) like she’s genuinely such a nice and kind person I loved iran… but it was because of her! What is a Hair Transplant?

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of hair follicles from one part of the body (usually the back of the scalp, where hair growth is more resistant to balding) and transplanting them to the bald or thinning areas. The transplanted hair follicles continue to grow naturally, resulting in a fuller and more natural-looking head of hair.

Here are a few tips for hair transplant aftercare in Iran:

  • Follow your surgeon’s instructions carefully. In most cases, this involves elevating your head while you sleep, avoiding strenuous activity for 2-3 weeks, and leaving bandages on for a specified amount of time.
  • Take any prescribed pain medications as directed by your surgeon. You will be able to manage discomfort this way.
  • Wash your hair gently with a mild, residue-free shampoo starting 3-4 days after surgery. Avoid vigorously scrubbing the grafted area.
  • Use a soft bristle brush and brush your hair delicately around the transplant area after shampooing. Loose grafted hairs can be removed this way.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure on the surgery site for 2-3 weeks. Wear a hat when going outside.
  • Sleep on your back with your head elevated for 1-2 weeks to minimize swelling and prevent grafted hair from being disturbed.
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking, and strenuous activities like exercise for at least 2 weeks post-op, as this can affect healing.
  • Take care to eat a balanced, nutritious diet and stay well-hydrated to optimize healing.
  • Use any recommended medicated shampoos or solutions from your surgeon to promote healing.
  • Attend all follow-up appointments so your surgeon can monitor your progress and recovery. Report any concerns immediately.

Comparison of Hair Transplants in Iran with Others

Comparison of hair transplants in Iran with India and Turkey.

Some people who want to have a Hair Transplant do not know which destination is the best choice; Iran, India or Turkey? The truth is that all three countries are good destinations in terms of medical tourism. However, Iran is superior to Turkey and India in several ways, which are mentioned below:

Lower cost of Hair Transplant in Iran

In addition to high quality, the low price of all Iranian medical services, including hair transplants, is one of the reasons for foreign patients to travel to Iran. Meanwhile, the services are performed by the most experienced doctors in the most equipped medical centers. The following is a comparison of hair transplant

Prices in Iran and Turkey and India:

Hair Transplant in Iran costs between $800 to $2000.
Hair Transplant in Turkey costs between $1500 to $3500.
Hair Transplant in India costs between $2000 to $4000.

The reason for this price difference is the sharp decline in the value of the Iranian currency (Rials). At present, Iran’s currency is one of the least valuable currencies in the world, and this has made Iran a suitable destination for various services, including medical and health services. Prior to the Corona Pandemic, nearly half a million people travel to Iran annually to receive a variety of medical services, including Hair Transplants.

Better Outcome of Hair Transplant in Iran

Satisfaction with the result of Hair Transplantation in Iran is higher than in countries such as Turkey and India. There are several reasons for this; First, Hair Transplantation in Iran is performed from the beginning to the end by dermatologists who have sufficient knowledge and skills in this field. Secondly, due to the low price of services, a large number of people inside and outside Iran undergo hair transplants. One of the consequences of this is that the experience of Hair Transplant specialists in Iran is very high and the complications after surgery are minimal.

Who are Suitable Candidates for Hair Transplant Methods in Iran?

Although it is more common for men to have Hair Transplants, it is not limited to men or women alone. Specialists are the only people who are qualified to identify the right candidate to do the Hair Transplant.

This largely depends on the severity of the hair loss and the amount of hair available in the donor area. Therefore any one can experience any Hair Transplant methods in Iran.

What is the FUE technique?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) involves extracting hair follicles individually from the donor area using a punch tool. The follicles are then transplanted into the recipient sites. It leaves small dot scars and has a faster recovery.

What is the FUT technique?

FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) involves taking a strip of skin from the donor area, which contains hair follicles. This strip is then dissected to obtain follicles, which are implanted. It leaves a linear scar and has a longer recovery time.

Which technique is better – FUE or FUT?

Both techniques are effective in restoring hair. FUE is minimally invasive and has a shorter recovery, while FUT enables transplanting a larger number of grafts in one sitting. The technique is chosen based on the patient’s needs and goals.

What is the FUE technique?

How is the donor area chosen for a transplant?

The surgeon selects the donor area, usually at the back of the scalp, based on the quality and density of hair. For FUE, the lower mid-part of the head is preferred. For FUT, the occipital zone is ideal.

What is the recovery period for a hair transplant?

The recovery period is around 2-3 weeks for both techniques. The transplanted area will be sensitive, swollen, and scabbed for the first week. The Head has to be kept elevated while sleeping initially. Activities can be resumed after 10-15 days.

Does the transplanted hair fall out?

The transplanted hair sheds within 2-3 weeks before they start regrowing permanently. It takes 4-12 months to see the full results from the procedure as the new hair grows in cycles.

How is the donor area chosen for a transplant?

Frequently Asked Questions About hair transplant

Hair transplant is performed under local anesthesia, so patients generally do not experience pain during the procedure. However, some discomfort or mild soreness may be felt in the donor and recipient areas after the surgery, which can be managed with pain medication prescribed by the doctor.

The duration of a hair transplant procedure can vary depending on the extent of the transplant. On average, the procedure can take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours. The surgeon will provide a more accurate timeframe during the initial consultation.

Yes, the results of a hair transplant in Iran are considered permanent. The transplanted hair follicles are resistant to the hormone that causes hair loss, allowing them to continue growing for a lifetime.

Like any surgical procedure, hair transplant does carry some risks. These can include infection, bleeding, scarring, and temporary shock loss (temporary shedding of existing hair). However, these risks are generally rare and can be minimized by choosing a reputable and experienced surgeon.

Is Iran or Turkey better for hairl transplant?

you can find excellent hair transplant results in both Iran and Turkey performed by very skilled doctors. Turkey pioneered these procedures, but Iran has since caught up significantly with top-notch medical standards, technologies, and lower pricing. The choice comes down to each patient’s budget, desired vacation options, and preferred clinical techniques.

Having undergone a 3500-graft hair transplant last week, I followed my surgeon’s instructions meticulously during the hair cleansing process. Despite my gentle approach, I noticed scabs falling out, seemingly taking hair grafts with them. This raises concerns about potential cumulative graft loss. Additionally, my scalp still exhibits a reddish hue and scabs after a week, contrary to my expectation of a quicker recovery. Is this extended condition within the normal recovery timeline, and how should I address the observed graft loss during hair washing?

IranHealthAgency Doctors

It’s understandable to feel concerned when you notice scabs and grafts falling out during the post-operative recovery process. However, some graft loss and persistence of scabs at 1 week is actually quite normal. Let me reassure you and provide some guidance.

Firstly, the redness and presence of scabs at 1 week is not unusual following a sizable hair transplant like yours involving over 3,000 grafts. The healing process can often take 10-14 days until most crusts fully detach. I would advise continuing gentle hair washes daily with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free shampoo. Be sure to softly pat dry rather than rub the areas.

In terms of the grafts, it is expected that 5-10% will not fully take during the growth phase over the next 3-4 months. Losing small numbers of grafts when washing during these first couple weeks generally does not significantly impact the overall graft yield or hair density for most patients. As long as the majority remains intact, which it seems is the case for you, you can expect excellent hair growth by 6 months.

Please consult our clinic if excessive crusting, drainage, or graft dislodgements occur despite delicate techniques. But from what you have described, it sounds like your recovery is on the right trajectory. Take care to avoid trauma to the scalp, abstain from alcohol for 2 weeks, stay hydrated, and get ample rest. Let me know if any other concerns present along the way

Facing male pattern baldness at 26, I’ve been informed that my follicular reserves are not robust enough for comprehensive coverage in a transplant. Considering the limitations, I’m contemplating the feasibility and advisability of using someone else’s hair as a donor source for a more effective procedure. Is this unconventional approach conceivable, and do you endorse considering external hair donations for an enhanced surgical intervention?

IranHealthAgency Doctors
Reply to  Fiuna

I understand the desire to maximize hair coverage at a young age, but using another person’s hair would not be a recommended approach. Hair transplantation relies on harvesting follicles that are genetically resistant to balding for optimal growth. Introducing external hair essentially creates a mismatch.

While it may seem advantageous initially, donated hair grafts carry higher risks of rejection and poor longevity-term results since they lack that genetic compatibility with your scalp. You could experience graft failures, poor texture blending, or patchy loss patterns over the next 5-10 years requiring additional repair procedures.

Rather than quantity from multiple donors, I advise focusing the intervention on strategically transplanting quality, DHT-resistant follicular groupings from the optimal areas of your own permanent zone. Though density may be less, this retains compatible DNA coding for the longest lasting outcome possible.

I would also supplement the transplant with medications like finasteride and minoxidil to slow further native hair loss. Then down the road, a second tightening procedure remains conceivable, if warranted. Patience and planning leads to the best aesthetic outcomes long-term. Does this help explain the rationale against using externally

On the eighth day post-transplant, I’m tempted to alleviate persistent scabs that are gradually descending. Is it permissible to expedite their removal, or should I adhere strictly to the post-transplant care guidelines? How can I address the temptation to accelerate scab removal while ensuring the safety and longevity of the transplanted grafts?

Sofia

Considering a transformative hair transplant at 34, I’m curious about the permanence of the solution. Can a singular surgical intervention achieve the desired outcome, restoring a youthful scalp appearance? Alternatively, is recurrent hair loss likely to necessitate periodic transplantations? Seeking enduring solutions, I’m keen to understand the realistic expectations and potential long-term outcomes of a hair transplant procedure.

Hey there, I’m Mike and I’m 32. I was washing my hair last night after my hair transplant surgery and I think I might’ve accidentally pulled out some of the grafts. I was being real gentle like my doctor said, but I still noticed some scabs with hair in them falling out. I got 3500 grafts done last week and it cost me big time. Now I’m kinda freaked that I might’ve screwed up and lost a bunch. I know I can’t count them, but it seems like if I lose some whenever I wash I might end up losing a lot. Also, my head is still pretty red and crusty with scabs. I thought it was supposed to heal up faster than this. Is this normal? Can you let me know what you think? Appreciate any help!

The results of the surgery are not immediate, as some of the transferred fat may be reabsorbed by the body over time. This is normal and expected, and it usually occurs within the first 3 to 6 months after the surgery. The amount of fat retention may vary depending on the technique used, the amount of fat injected, and the patient’s lifestyle and metabolism. To maximize and maintain the results of your BBL, you should follow your surgeon’s post-operative instructions carefully, such as avoiding sitting or lying on your buttocks for at least 6 weeks, wearing a compression garment to support the healing tissue, and maintaining a stable weight and a healthy diet. You should also exercise regularly to tone and strengthen your gluteal muscles, which can help to lift and firm your buttocks.

I’m Steve, I’m 30, and I’ve been dealing with male pattern baldness. My doctor said that my donor hair isn’t thick enough to give me a full head of hair back and the best we could do is a transplant to partially fill in my receding hairline. I was wondering if it’s possible to use hair donated from someone else to get a thicker, better result that’s worth the time and money. Can that be done? Would you recommend it?

It is normal to lose some of the transplanted hair grafts during the first few weeks after the surgery, as they go through a shedding phase before they start to grow new hair. This is part of the natural cycle of hair growth and does not affect the final outcome of the procedure. However, if you notice excessive or persistent hair loss, or if you see blood or tissue attached to the fallen hair, you may have damaged or dislodged some of the grafts. This can compromise the density and coverage of your hair transplant and may require corrective surgery. To avoid this, you should be very gentle and careful when washing your hair, using only mild shampoo and lukewarm water, and gently patting your scalp dry with a soft towel. You should also avoid rubbing, scratching, or picking at your scalp, as this can irritate the wound and cause infection. The redness and crustiness of your scalp should subside within 10 to 14 days, but you can apply saline solution or moisturizing spray to soothe and hydrate your skin. You should also follow your surgeon’s instructions on how to care for your scalp and when to resume your normal activities.
